| Sigh, today just got worse (it didn't start off badly, though). | |
|
| Apparently, I only like cheesy caricature metal (i.e. GWAR, Dethklok). Dethklok was AWESOME, but the show was four and a half hours long because of a second headliner (Mastodon, whom I did not like but is apparently pretty rad) and two others, which were just a high-pitched guitar "tone cluster" set on uber distortion. Oh man, it was so loud and so noisy, and not in a good way.
But, Dethklok was totally worth the 30 bucks for the ticket, so if I see them again, I'm totally going to bail on the openers.
ETA: additionally, I know smell even more like other people's sweat, stale beer, and smokes. Pretty gross.

| I'm taking the lazy route and driving in the rain today.... maybe. We'll see how I feel after my shower. | |
|
| can there possibly be a better way to start off a brisk autumn day than with a walk with the doggie and a bowl of hot Cream of Wheat? | |
|
| going to bed and forgetting about unpleasantness, because it's all in my head and one-sided anyway....
too bad this stupid rash isn't also in my head. damn allergy
|
| and to all those keeping score out there: yes, I am indeed allergic to Pepto Bismol | |
|
| sometimes I wonder if people really are busy doing everything they say they are doing (and should be doing), or if they're actually doing other things and just leaving those hours out of their recap of the day and explanation for lack of productivity.
then I wonder if suspicion, doubt, and paranoia really need a place in my life.
on an unrelated note, I'm gonna walk the dog, put in a movie, and grade the hell outta these (hellacious) papers

| Holy crap, low fifties and sunny -- it's perfect football weather! | |

| I'm so disappointed in my dad. I'm reading through the wishlist he posted on Amazon, and it's mostly painful to look at. It's funny that he thinks we kids are only getting one side of the story and that it's his job to make sure we see everything (via inflamatory, factless, tactless opinion articles and blogs). But, challenge him on how he only gets one side of the story (i.e., the inflammatory, self-confirming, factless, tactless opinion articles and blogs) and it'll be because the media is left-wing. Well, he doesn't watch the liberal media, he doesn't read left-of-center books. It's all self-confirming and disappointing. What's worse is that, beyond just political and economic opinions expressed are some pretty awful social opinions.
Example: it was not OK to call Ashcroft a fascist "because that is a serious term that people shouldn't throw around". It *is* OK, however, to call Obama a socialist and substitute "Baracker" for "Cracker" on a Cracker Jack box riff of the Nobel Prize debacle.
It's one thing to have your own opinion. It's quite another to have everyone else's.

| F you, Vista. I am not only the only administrator on my computer, I am also the only USER on the computer, so where the hell do you get off telling me that I need permission to move items in my damn START menu?
I hate you and all that you stand for. Also, Internet Explorer sucks and I want it uninstalled.
